# Acquiring clients

> Six acquisition channels PulsyAI resellers use to build their client pipeline — from cold calling to LinkedIn, agency reselling, Facebook groups, email, and paid ads. Ordered by ROI and stage.

This page documents the six acquisition channels the PulsyAI team uses to build a reseller pipeline. They're ordered by recommended priority — start with the channels that cost nothing and give you immediate feedback, then layer in paid acquisition once you understand your ideal customer profile.

<Tip>
  **This is how the PulsyAI team personally approached client acquisition.** If you have channels or methods that work better for you, keep using them. The order on this page is what the PulsyAI team found highest-leverage for a new reseller starting from zero — not a constraint on how you have to operate.
</Tip>

The recommended sequence for a new reseller:

1. **Cold calling** — Zero cost, fastest feedback, fastest first client.
2. **LinkedIn outreach** — Manual and personalized, ideal for reaching decision-makers directly.
3. **Reselling to marketing agencies** — The highest-leverage scalable move once you've closed a few direct clients.
4. **Facebook groups** — Organic community presence, slower but durable.
5. **Email marketing** — Scalable but lower conversion per touch than cold calling or LinkedIn.
6. **Meta ads** — Paid acquisition, deploy only once you have a clear ideal customer profile. The rest of this page covers each channel in detail.

## Cold calling

Cold calling is the fastest, cheapest, highest-feedback acquisition channel. It works particularly well for the PulsyAI offer because the 2-week free trial removes all upfront commitment from the prospect's side. **Best targets:** SMBs and emergency services — plumbers, electricians, locksmiths, HVAC, dental clinics, auto shops, movers. Businesses with high call volumes and high ticket sizes who cannot afford to miss calls. **The 5-second pitch:**

> *"I'm not calling to sell you anything. I'd like to offer you our service completely free for two weeks — can I have two minutes?"* The full 4-step cold call script, the Google Maps + sponsored businesses prospecting tactic, value-first pitching, and the cheat sheet are all documented on the [Outbound prospecting](/growth-playbook/outbound-prospecting) page. Read that page first if cold calling is your primary channel.

## LinkedIn outreach

LinkedIn is ideal for reaching SMB owners and decision-makers directly. The PulsyAI approach is built around one core principle:

<Tip>
  **Be educational, not salesy.** The PulsyAI team's experience has been that LinkedIn prospects respond dramatically better when the outreach feels like sharing useful insight rather than pitching a product. Lead with value, not with the ask.
</Tip>

### The PulsyAI LinkedIn approach

1. **Connect with SMB owners, operations managers, and local business decision-makers** in verticals you want to serve.
2. **Send a manual, personalized message after connecting** — never an automated template blast. Reference something specific about their business (a recent post, their company size, their location, an industry they operate in).
3. **Lead with an insight or observation, not a pitch.** Something educational that creates curiosity rather than triggering sales defenses.
4. **Offer the free trial only after the conversation warms up** — if they engage with your initial message and ask follow-up questions, then mention the trial as a low-friction next step.

### Why manual personalized messages outperform automation

Most LinkedIn outreach is templated, robotic, and obvious. Prospects detect it within seconds and delete the message. The 30 extra seconds it takes to write a genuinely personalized opener — referencing their specific business — generates dramatically higher response rates than any automated sequence. The educational angle is what differentiates PulsyAI's approach. Instead of opening with "we have an AI voice agent solution", you might open with "I noticed your business is in \[vertical] — most businesses in your industry are losing 80% of voicemail callers to competitors. Mind if I share what we've been seeing?" The prospect either engages because they want to learn, or doesn't engage. Either way, you've used your one shot well and you haven't burned the relationship by leading with a pitch.

## Reselling to marketing agencies (sub-resellers)

This is the highest-leverage scalable acquisition channel available to PulsyAI resellers. Instead of selling to end-clients one by one, you sell PulsyAI's white-label capabilities to marketing agencies who then resell the service to their own client base.

<Tip>
  **Why this is the 10x move:** A successful end-client deal generates one paying customer. A successful agency partnership generates an entire downstream pipeline. Agencies bring 10, 50, sometimes 100+ clients each. One agency partnership can produce more revenue than 50 direct client deals.
</Tip>

### Why marketing agencies will say yes

* **They already have clients who need this** — they just don't have the solution to offer.
* **It's ready-made and fully supported** — you handle the technical setup and support, they handle the client relationships.
* **Low entry price means low friction** — Because PulsyAI gives you the reseller rate, you have room to offer agencies a competitive price.
* **You handle all technical support** — they just sell and collect their margin.
* **It becomes recurring revenue for them** — with zero infrastructure cost on their end.

### Where to find marketing agencies

* **LinkedIn** — Search "marketing agency" + your city or country. Filter by company size to focus on agencies that are big enough to have multiple clients but small enough that the founder still makes decisions.
* **Google search** — "\[city] marketing agencies", "GoHighLevel agencies", "local SEO agencies".
* **Facebook groups for agency owners** — Active communities where agency founders share tactics and look for new tools.
* **Cold email campaigns** — Targeted agency lists from Apollo or similar tools.

### How to position the partnership

When you reach out to an agency, lead with the white-label angle:

> *"I work with marketing agencies who want to offer their clients an AI voice agent service without having to build or support the infrastructure themselves. We provide the platform under your brand — your clients see your logo, your pricing, your billing. You handle the client relationships, we handle the technical side. Most agency partners we work with see this as a recurring revenue addition that costs them nothing upfront."* For the full white-label setup that backs this offer, see the [White-Label section](/platform/white-label/custom-domain) of the documentation.

## Facebook groups

Facebook groups for business owners, entrepreneurs, and local businesses are warm, community-driven environments where the PulsyAI offer can spread organically — if you respect the community dynamics.

<Warning>
  **Don't pitch cold in Facebook groups — it gets you banned.** Every active business group has strict no-self-promotion rules, and group admins remove (and ban) members who post pitches. Lead with value, let curiosity bring the conversations to you.
</Warning>

### The PulsyAI Facebook group approach

* **Identify people mentioning lost leads or phone follow-up struggles.** When a group member posts "I keep missing calls and losing business", that's your moment — engage with a helpful comment, not a pitch.
* **Post value-driven content.** Insights like "Did you know businesses miss 80% of voicemail callers?" or "Here's the math on what missed calls cost a service business per month." Educational posts that demonstrate your knowledge.
* **Let interested members come to you.** When someone comments asking for more info, take the conversation to DM. Don't pitch in the comments — it triggers the no-self-promotion rule.
* **DM members who clearly run SMBs** in verticals you serve. The DM approach in Facebook works the same as LinkedIn — personalized, educational, low-pressure.

### Recommended groups to join

* Local business owner groups for your city
* Industry-specific groups (e.g., plumbing business owners, dental practice managers, HVAC contractors)
* Entrepreneurship groups (especially those focused on SMB growth and automation)
* GoHighLevel and agency owner communities The bigger and more active the group, the more carefully you should follow its rules. Read the pinned rules post before your first interaction.

## Email marketing

Cold email works well when you target prospects who have already shown intent — businesses that have signed up for automation tools, businesses that run paid ads, businesses listed in directories that suggest growth-mindedness.

### The PulsyAI email approach

* **Sharp subject line focused on the pain point.** "Your voicemail is costing you thousands per month" outperforms "Introducing PulsyAI" by a wide margin.
* **3-4 lines maximum body.** Get to the value prop fast. Long cold emails get deleted.
* **One clear call to action.** Either book a call or start a free trial — not both, not three options. One.
* **Targeted lists, not blasted.** A 200-prospect list of carefully-qualified targets outperforms a 5,000-prospect blast in conversion rate and reply quality.

### Tools that help

* **Apollo** — Build targeted prospect lists with verified emails and phone numbers, filtered by industry, location, company size, and other criteria.
* **Instantly** — Send cold email sequences at scale with deliverability optimization and reply tracking. Focus on industries with high call volume — the same verticals that work well for cold calling tend to work well for email. Emergency services, healthcare, auto, home services, legal and financial.

## Meta ads (Facebook & Instagram)

When you're ready to invest in paid acquisition, Meta ads are one of the highest-ROI channels for the PulsyAI offer. A strong hook driving directly to a booking page or free trial form can produce consistent, warm inbound leads.

<Tip>
  **When to start with ads:** Don't lead with paid acquisition. Start with cold calling and LinkedIn first — they cost zero and give you immediate feedback on what messaging works. Once you've closed your first few clients and have a clear sense of your ideal customer profile, then deploy ad budget. A small budget of \$20-30/day is enough to test and iterate before scaling. Retargeting people who already engaged with your content or visited your website typically outperforms cold prospecting on Meta.
</Tip>

### What works on Meta ads for this offer

* **Pain-point hooks.** "Your voicemail is costing you thousands" outperforms feature-driven creative.
* **Free trial as the CTA.** The 2-week trial is your closer — make it the offer in the ad copy.
* **Direct-to-booking funnel.** Send ad clicks to a Calendly link or booking form. Pre-qualified meetings convert much higher than cold outreach.
* **Retargeting.** Anyone who visits your site, engages with your organic posts, or watches more than 50% of a video ad becomes a retargeting audience — they convert dramatically better than cold cold audiences.

### Why the free trial removes the buying decision

The PulsyAI offer has a structural advantage for ad performance: prospects don't have to commit to spending money to take action. The ad isn't asking them to buy — it's asking them to start a free 2-week trial. The buying decision happens later, after the system has already paid for itself. This is one of the highest-converting ad propositions you can run in the AI/automation space. For why the upfront-free, prove-itself-first model works so well, see [Closing client meetings, Step 4](/growth-playbook/closing-client-meetings#step-4-close-the-2-week-free-trial).

## Choosing your channel mix

Most successful PulsyAI resellers run a combination of channels rather than relying on a single one. A typical effective mix for a new reseller in the first 90 days:

| Days                                                                                                                                                                                                         | Primary channel             | Secondary channel                |
| ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | --------------------------- | -------------------------------- |
| 1-30                                                                                                                                                                                                         | Cold calling                | LinkedIn (manual)                |
| 30-60                                                                                                                                                                                                        | Cold calling + LinkedIn     | Agency outreach                  |
| 60-90                                                                                                                                                                                                        | LinkedIn + agency outreach  | Email marketing, Facebook groups |
| 90+ | Whatever proved highest ROI | Meta ads (if clear ICP) |
| The pattern: start with zero-cost, high-feedback channels. Layer in scaling channels as you understand what works. Hold paid acquisition until you have a proven message and a clear ideal customer profile. | | |

## Why upfront-free changes the acquisition game

Across every channel above, the PulsyAI offer has the same structural advantage: **you're not asking prospects to spend money upfront**. Most small business owners are cautious about putting money into untested solutions. The 2-week free trial removes that barrier completely. This is why cold calls book meetings, LinkedIn DMs get responses, and ads convert at higher rates than typical SaaS offers. The trial isn't a marketing tactic — it's a structural alignment with how cautious SMB buyers actually want to buy. The system pays for itself before the prospect ever has to invest. That's the message every channel should reinforce.
